I have trained dogs for 20 years in many aspects including Schutzhund, Competition Obedience, Personal Protection, as well as Basic Obedience for pet owners. I am now looking to expand my knowledge and training and would like to find a school that teaches how to train dogs for Narcotics Detection. If I could find a School in Oklahoma or Texas that would be great but I'm willing to travel to attend a good school.

A member of my Schutzhund club is Amy Herot, who has been doing detection work for I don't know how long. I asked her about getting into it and she said it's generally impossible for the public nowadays. Too much liability. Good luck though!!
Hi Beth:
Randy Hare teaches a detection trainer's course that I've heard is outstanding. I've been to a couple of his seminars and learned tons. He's located in Mississippi.
