I liked "Marley and Me". It was a great story surrounding the life of a dog and it's owners. Despite knowing anything about training a dog, marley became a part of the family. I had my own "Marley" moment when she locked me out my home. Well nearly..
When I pass through a door she is right behind me. She knows door locks and handles. So when just the other day I decide put some trash in the garage, she follows and paws on the door. Well there are only four ways into my house, two sliders, a front door and a garage door. I had no keys, no phone, nothing but my garage and outside patio.
I wen to go back into my kitchen, and she had pawed the deadbolt....I was more worried for her at the moment, but then reality set in and I realized I needed to stay someplace warm for the night too.
Frantically I went to all the doors in the house, tried everything. thought about any spare keys. Thought about anyone who might still be awake to help me.... Nothing, garage door didn't open, nobody else had a key... and worse yet I had no phone.
It must hve been a miracle that when I went to get back in through the garage door it opened. It might not have been locked all the way. She might have been smart enough to knock the bolt the other way... It could have been anything really, but my lesson was learned... I never leave the house without a key to get back in or at least two door unlocked!!! lol
I've only had my little girl for a little over a week now, but that put some reality in what a dog can do...if it's possible, they can do it!! lol

Mara you mean the real life writer guy that Jeff Bridges was portraying right? I think they did a pretty good job of making that character out as an Ahole -are you saying he's actually worse in real life? LOL...didn't even realize...
