I would do some research before starting a (human) on vitamin E supplements. Within the last few years I believe it has been shown to raise the risk of heart disease.
In some people, yes.
You are right: this is not the place for researching things like fat-soluble vitamins in mega-doses for humans.

Lynne, he's taking what you recommend.
He has early arthritis in knees.
We stay away from hi levels of Vit e.
Thanks. I was confused when Betty was asking about her husband taking Vit E and then talking about how much Salmon Oil she was giving the dogs. That's where my confusion came in.
I didn't think they were one in the same, but thought maybe there was something I was totally oblivious to.
I was only addressing the maximum amount of Vitamin E her husband should take.
When I was training hard my trainer and nutritionist had me taking 6 fish oil capsules a day. And I only weigh 94 pounds. Didn't do anything bad to me, helped my skin and hair and I've hear high amounts of fish oil can help with depression.
I've never heard of chia seeds before so I googled it and wow they look amazing. I think I'm going to give them a try; now to find somewhere that sells them. Maybe I can safely get rid of that stubborn last 10 lbs.
