Is Nug your Akita? "sorry if I spelled that wrong" lol I agree with a muzzle a dog can do a lot of damage, most of it arising from the guy breaking his leg trying to go back over the fence with a load in his shorts, and with no bite marks, he just tripped over the fence when my dog barked at him and suprised him...., boy that wood fence sure leaves some good scratches, while he was trespassing on my property. Poor fella....

Nug is the GSD that looks like Zeus. I didn't have the Akita when this happened. That would have been a bad scene both dogs getting a part of Bruce. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Ahhh ok, yea that would have been bad lol one on each leg... ouch!
I guess liability for a dog such as ours it would be the same as the liability of using your sidearm. I use the ole rule of "If you pull, you better fire." Same goes for my dog, If I send I'm going to let him bite. I feel if you have enough fear for your life or the lives of others, or are in the area of a violent fenony happning, to use deadly force, you have every right, sidearm or your dog, which ever happens to be handy. The deadly force laws in WA are quite clear in this matter as far as I have read. Prob why the only thing that happens in my town is the odd drive by yelling.
Now when I am in Canada, I of course can't carry my sidearm so all I have is my dog, I have not read the provincial code on deadly force here, I will have to ask my K-9 buddy, he should know. I will let you know.

We will try a test - I added a new thread for general conversation. Now you can talk about wives, girlfriends, boyfriends and dogs. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
