Cheri Grissom Webboard User Reg: 09-30-2010 Posts: 2609 Loc: Michigan Offline	As I was surfing the channel guide just now, looking to see what's on tonight, I noticed there is what apparently is a new series premiering tonight on National Geographic Channel, called "Blue-Collar Dogs." It looks like they will have segments on dogs with "jobs," like detecting seizures, cancer, etc., as well as police dog type jobs. Looks like it's on from eight to eleven. I know it's kind of late notice. Here in Eastern Standard Time it's already 7:11, but this is the first I've heard of it, so I thought I would pass the info on if anyone is interested.

And the dog that reads!! I'm watching the second hour now, and they've started out with the U.S. Border Patrol dogs, all Belgian Malinois and GSDs.

I had a patient last week who's wife had a seizure alert dog - a little terrier :-) And I was a good girl. I looked, didn't touch and asked if it would be ok to pet him. He did really well being in our unit with all of the activity and even accompanied her into the procedure room when she went in with her husband. Amazing animals! Here Decoy, Decoy, Decoy!
