Caramels....especially homemade real caramels (not Kraft caramels although they'll do in a pinch). Soft, chewy, rich and creamy caramels
And Roast Beast..er...Beef. My grandma would fix it for me every year on my birthday and then after I was grown and away from home anytime I'd come for dinner.
Grandmas are the best. I've never been able to make it the way she used to
But I could LIVE on turkey, garlic smashed potatoes and dressing....and lasagne!

I would like to insert my proudest boast here. I can recite the entire How the Grinch Stole Christmas book, from "Every Who down in Whoville" to "Why, for 53 years I've put up with it now … I must stop this Christmas from coming! But how?" to "Pooh-pooh to the Whos, he was grinchily humming" to "he, he himself -- the Grinch! -- carved the Roast Beast."
Thank you. Thank you very much. Don't forget to tip the wait staff.

Can you sound like Boris Karloff ?
I wish.
Of course, that's the animated version (and a wonderful animated piece it is, too, from the late great Chuck Jones of Looney Tunes fame). The book didn't have Boris Karloff or the songs.
Otherwise, the animated version's narration is almost completely faithful to the book.
My favorite Christmas special ever. Even Jean Shepherd's Christmas Story is second to the Grinch.

My absolute favorite book as a young child was "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" but the only place I ever got to read it was in the pediatrician's office Either my mom figured I didn't need one of my own or she used the fact the book was there to coerce me in to going when I didn't want to
