Many forum members here (and elsewhere too) have been PMing in shock over the fact that Mike Scheiber, a long-loved member of the working-dog community, died Saturday. He was at his club, training with Jett -- doing what he loved.
The PMs and emails are just pouring forth, so it seems right to make a post.

Thank you, Barbara! I didn't even think of posting a video.
Such a funny, nice, individual guy. I knew him only as an e-person, but his e-community is really heartbroken, as of course are his family and his training club and his dog and his friends .....
That forum has been through the ringer the past few months losing members.
God rest all their souls.:frown:
I didn't know Mike. It is a weird feeling to read someone posting one day and then gone the next.
I even read a post of his on the 19th that said something in regards to really good dog's vs. great dog's, that he would take a really good dog until the day he died. It is so sad that the day he would die was just over a week away.

I thought of that same post, Michael.
Life is just so ephemeral, so unreliable, so suddenly gone -- in a snap.
"It is so sad that the day he would die was just over a week away." Yes. And now Jett is without Mike.
