I was feeding raw when I had three terriers. Two Borders and a JRT. They could each hammer a whole chicken leg and thy with no problem.
If not raised with another dog terriers can often be intolerant of other dogs. Even then the $#!+ can fly if your leadership skills aren't up to snuff.
If it works they are great little bassids...errrr...dogs!
When you feed a chicken back; is that their only meal for the day? Just thinking if I'm feeding 2-3% body weight that's about .4# and one chicken back could .5#?
I feed about 4-5 oz. per day. Each meal consists of 1 oz. of a premade whole carcass pattie, one 1-2" chunk of either chicken neck or back (cut up with heavy duty scissors) and the am. meal has a spoonful of a raw dhydrated food (rotate between a few different brands).
When I buy the chicken I cut it all up into meal size pieces and freeze on a tray so that the pieces don't stick, then put in a bag so I can just pull out a days worth at a time.
