Chicken litter is not an acceptable food for cows by any standard that is accepted by any one other than the formulators of least cost rations for the most intense factory feedlots.
There's a lot more undigested stuff in there than we realize.
In fact chicken poo is approved as acceptable food for cows. lol
So were sheep brains at one time and look what that got us - mad cow disease.
Here is a link to an article I recently received regarding arsenic in chicken feed. Just because something is being "used" in an animal feed, absolutely does not mean it should be in there. (Many kibbles come to mind... )
On the delightful topic of poo, someone told me one of the ways to keep the many neighbourhood cats out of my garden, (and out of the jaws of my tenacious young cat hating Boerboel) is to buy some Lion poo from the garden centre, generously donated by the local Zoo, which apparently leads to the any-time-soon prey to believe there is a much bigger pooty tat living there, is there any truth to that??
