His jumps remind me a lot of Kenzi's climbing on things - pretty much just show 'em what you want and they say sure, I can do that - what else do you want me to try?!

Exactly! That it what I LOVE about the last video. I ask for a Sit, he says 'nah, I'm gonna go jump here' Ultimately, it's NOT OK for him to blow me off, but it was so funny!!!
That you would compare Koenig to Kenzi is quite the compliment, Koenig says Thanks!
I can just picture my big 'hoss looking at that tall trash can and then looking back at me with his "you expect me to do WHAT???" expression! To be fair to the big guy, he can launch himself with gusto up on top of the picnic table (and for some weird reason loves doing so), but I'm afraid his trying to get up on that trash can would not have been a pretty sight...
Maybe I'll get a vid of Falcon jumping up and off the picnic table and hupping over the benches and have Aaron set it to slow, laborious, music... interspersed with shots of Koenig sailing through the air. Could be entertaining.
I think that is a FANTASTIC idea Barbara! Sounds super entertaining! I can send Aaron clips of us trying to get Sara (the pointer) to jump- she balks at the last moment on nearly everything, it's pretty funny. She's got fantastic brakes. How big is Falcon?
(I'm whispering because Falcon is at my feet and I don't want to hurt his fragile self esteem, but lets just say if he were in middle school, he'd be called "husky".)
He is right at 100#. Not fat, just big. Definitely not built for that fast, leaping gazelle action the working line GSDs, mals and DUTCHIES have.
ETA: I just have to say, I just looked down at this wonderful dog, being challenged by the cat while on a down, and it struck me again... what a GREAT dog he is. He's taught me so much.

Like. Like a lot.
Double like!!! Koenig commiserates with Falcon on the challenges of living with a feline. Ours tempts him constantly. Koenig generally can't resist the invitation to chase.
