Whenever I train my dog Terra (terrier, about 3 years old, usually very sweet)
and we are done, and I bring her back with the other dogs, she growls at them. I was wondering if any one else has had this problem when separating their dogs to train. None of my other dogs do this. And of course I tell Terra NO and she stops immediately but was just curious about it. Could it be because she is so excited and/or doesn't want the other dogs to have their turn?
Terra is the newest of my dogs I have have her about 2 years. She is usually very submissive until after training then she growls at the other dogs waiting for their turn. Its weird. Sharon
Both my GSDs are kenneled together and/or in the back yard 24/7 with one another.
Thunder ALWAYS gives a growl to Trooper when I bring him back in the yard after training.
I look at it as simply letting Trooper know who's the boss. It could also be a certain amount of possessiveness with the growling dogs. She's got you for now and doesn't want to share.
Most wont allow that. I have no problem with it but you need to understand all your dogs inside out if you going to allow it.
You also have three terriers. It's the nature of the little bassids!
