Is there any miracle products out there for wet dog smell? It has been raining/snowing solid for the last week and isn't letting up for another week plus. The smell isn't going away when they are dry either. It's in the carpet, I'm washing their beds every day and I swear I smell it in the hardwood floors Doggy perfume is not doing the trick. Any suggestions?

Well that doesn't sound like fun. I'm guessing (hoping) a lot of the smell will be alleviated when things dry up and you can open the windows and air things out a bit. That always helps when my house starts to smell doggy.
In the meantime, would dog baths with soap and water be out of the question? That might get some of the funk off of them. And maybe one of those baking soda carpet sprinkles would help freshen the rugs.
Then cross your fingers and hope for sunshine soon! Spring can't be too far away...even in South Dakota.
I have one with sensitive skin and had just given baths right before the rain started. (when I wash my dogs or my car it always rains ) I don't dare give her another or her fur will start falling out in clumps. I could try giving Haz another one and cross my fingers that his skin is less sensitive. Maybe his better genetics will help him out. As far as the carpet sprinkles go, I tried that one. Now my vacuum smells like vanilla, lavendar, and wet dog. lol Thanks for the advice. I will throw open my windows and pray for sunshine
They are both on raw. Mostly venison with chicken for rmb. Carrots and or green beens and peas, fish oil. They get ham and beef steak during training. We have been through the food issues. I'm fairly confidentthat it isn't due to diet, but thanks for mentioning it! I probably wouldn't have put the two together if I had been feeding something else. There was a smell when they were on kibble, but it didnt come from their fur
Wendy, I will try to get in the undercoat better and see if that helps. Thanks!
If they are on a raw diet I would agree that its unlikely that its the food. Just figured it was worth asking. So many people I know that say "My dog stinks!" turn out to be feeding really crappy food.
