the frost is leaving the ground, so I'll be working in a week or so, leave home by 7am and am happy to be home by 7pm, content to be home by 9pm, and accept some days home by 11pm, seasonal work so I gotta go hard.

Pisa will be coming with me every day, I have from day one set her up to be in the truck in her crate, driving, stopping, getting things out of cab and back while ignoring her, driving equipment around it, plus all I could think of.

Also have taken her on my site visits with me and walked her around the new part of town we will be working in(lots of construction noises) and nutralized the her to the max to being in town (many, many dedicated trips to town and edmonton)

the next week I will be getting our tree nursery in order, and lots else around farm, she will be in the truck all day around the farm with me, so I will be able to set up a bit more structured day for us before starting my paying job.

I kind of have to "budget my time with Pisa" but fully understand(unfortunately after getting her) the time I need to commit to her.

I of course will have her tired in morning, will make frequent potty breaks(hope 2hrs in between) thinking an half hour dedicated to her at lunch, another short session 15min mid afternoon, and half hour late afternoon, early evening, and lots of time when getting home,
my wife has totally picked up the slack I've left with the big dogs, and I still make some time for them of course.
I really think it will work out good with her and our "new scedule", time will tell, I will spend the time throughout the day with her I have to

any suggestions to ease the transition past what I'm doing

Don't forget to take stuffed kongs etc. to keep her entertained.

I searched kongs and found a few good threads, but I am wondering if freezing moistened kibble in an over sized kong(have them from when mastiffs were pups) would work for her meals to keep her busy longer(she eats from a ball type food dispencer)
or should I stick with keeping it a treat( she runs into her crate when I am holding her little puppy kong with a smear of peanut butter or youguart

nope,I tried, have to use a really big kong(only have extreme in that size) and it is pretty much impossible to get it out for her little mouth

so, the new guy called in today(second day hmmm) and won't be in so I get my Leerburg fix today.

I missed a couple things, as much as I thought I had it figured out, nope Pisa was totally interested with my knee pads,
and the biggest brain fart was not haveing her in the old work truck, 2 door, so she is in front seat, up high enough to see out(other truck 4 door, backseat removed so crate is lower).
It could be a bit of a thing, she has barked at movement(only once),
I'm thinking of a battery operated radio to keep outside sounds from getting her attention. She will not be in this truck much, but probably for a bit of every few days.
