Ryuk and I will be moving into a houseshare with some friends of mine at the end of the month....
We'll be getting a yard to play in, 6 acres of woods to train in, access to miles and miles of nature reserve that buts up against the property. A river to swim in on the nature reserve and a small stream on the property to play in. Plus I get part of a heated studio area with AMAZING natural lighting in the daytime that is literally larger than the house (my bedroom is in the house). I get a free place to park my car.
Our new housemates (the human ones) are a good friend of mine and her fiancee as well as one of his friends. Our new animal housemates are 2 cats, one that we fostered when Ryuk was a puppy and is very dog friendly (but dumb as as stick....) and one that will most likely be in a state of panic for the first few months (he's freaking out already because they're packing boxes), plus a bunch of rats (they rat rescue) and they're looking for a dog to ad to the family. They also want chickens...which will provide fun new things to train....and we'll have a huuuuuge freezer to store meat in which means possibly being able to feed raw (and organic free range...because not all of those chickens will be for eggs...)
I'm so excited, no more crazy neighbors (closest neighbor is a mile away), no more bizarre complaints, no more weird rules, no more late night "OMG YOUR DOWNSTAIRS NEIGHBORS SET THEIR COUCH ON FIRE", no more potsmoke, no more dog poop EVERYWHERE, WOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!
I can't wait
also, if anyone is looking to rehome a 6month+ old puppy, medium to large size at maturity (ideally the 50-60lb range), female prefered but any gender is fine. Looking for something with a softer temperment (this will be their first dog since leaving home, they have done extensive research on training and care) that is ready and willing to do some agility, OB, and backpacking. They are interested in the OB parts of schutzhund. They really like the working breeds but mixes are fine, they just want something healthy. They would prefer no purebred pit bulls as their insurance is a bit tough about that and with the travel they do there are many places that the dog would not be permitted due to the breed....
Congrats! I'm sure Ohio is a little far for them but I foster for a rescue and we have a lot of nice dogs looking for homes. Here is the link if they decide it's not too far http://www.pawsandprayers.org/
