I really, really want to get a temporary fencing system to cover us until we can build our permanent fence (probably a year, at least). This could be a system we put up and leave up throughout the summer, or something I set up for training in the yard and then put away at the end of the session.
The yard is about 20' wide and 50' long. Our house almost covers the east side, and the north side is fenced. I need something I can run up the west side of the yard and cover the south end (facing the street).
Any and all suggestions are welcome. Aesthetics would be nice, but functionality is my prime concern. Jethro respects the little 18" x-pen fences I use in the house (doesn't try to push them open or step over them. He isn't used to charging a fence or trying to push out past the x-pen we use on the front porch.
I would just get some t-posts, a post pounder and a roll or two of welded wire fencing. You can get it coated with a kind of plastic/rubber coating that is colored, which looks a little nicer. Easy to install, works well for dogs that don't challenge fences, and also easy to remove when you are ready to build the permanent fence.
