My dog Izzy is losing weight I am going to take her to the vet tomorrow to have tests done on her She is very active and is always hungry, I have been feeding her more food but she has not gained any weight she just seems to lose more.
what test should I have the vet do. I want to make sure that if she is sick they will find out whatever it could be.

Hey Elizabeth,
How old is she? She could just be hitting a growth spurt and need a lot more food for a few weeks.
It could also be worms, metabolic disorder (pancreatic insufficiency) tick-borne illness, or any number of other issues.
If I were you, I'd first run a fecal to check for worms (bring in a fresh stool sample). Even if that's negative, I'd worm with Panacur or another de-wormer that treats multiple types of worms (including whipworms). A fecal sample does not always find existing worms- they do not shed them constantly.
To save money, you may be able to run a fecal without even having the dog examined. Just drop the sample off.
If you are going in anyway, and want to do a few more tests, a complete blood count is useful to pinpoint if a disease process is going on. I'd also test for tick borne illesses (quick snap test which also test for heartworm).
To me, good energy means it may be something as minor as a growth spurt. Skinnyness does worry me more.
In sum I'd recommend running a fecal test and deworming first. CBC, snap-test for tick illnesses next. Pancreatic insufficiency considered after that. Based on the results of the CBC, or vet exam, further tests may be needed.
These are my opinions, and I am not a vet.

Does she have any other symptoms aside from losing weight? (Gas, loose stools, etc.)

she just turned 9 months her stools are formed but soft , when she is laying down she makes a weird noise that just started to happen, but that's about it besides the weight loss but it seemed to happen rapidly that is why i am worried. (Stupid question but if she had worms wouldn't my sister's corgi mix have them as well? he is fat and his poop is fine).
eta
She did have a tick on her for a while before I noticed it and took it off .

Hi Elizabeth,
Are the weird noises coming from her intestinal/stomach area? Gurgling and/or popping?
I've heard this in dogs with worms, simple GI upset, and upper GI bleed.
Nine months is a bit old for a growth spurt in a medium size dog.
If the vet offers you Science Diet type food to help settle down intestinal inflamation/upset, cook a rice/hamburger mild diet on your own instead. Cheaper and better.
I'd guess worms right now. I've certainly seen one dog in a house with worms, the other worm-free, it happens. But it's a good idea to get her checked out. Tick-borne disease is possible, but you'd probably see other signs of illness (eg. fever, limping, lethargy). A snap-test could rule this out though, and it's better to treat early. Keep us posted!

Over the last year we've had a number of dogs, especially pups, with soft stool,
sometimes with failure to gain.
It seems that in many, many cases treatment with a broad spectrum good quality anthelmentic (dewormer) and/or metronizadole (treatment for giardia) has been the answer.
While it is not accepted by purists to "just deworm" without medical evidence I personally believe that doing just that, without a ton of appointments, lab tests, etc. probably would save folks a lot of money and not do any harm. This was a standard practice 25 yrs ago. It seems that many times this is what is done anyway, only it is done after hundreds of dollars of lab work and vet visits have yielded no results or mixed results. In the end, the only way to rule out giardia and worms is to treat for it. My thought would be a good dewormer/parasite Rx first, if no results, then do a bunch of lab.(Obviously, this is only for a pup or dog who is feeling fine, good appetite, and not clinically ill)

Went to the vet , she is 36 pounds vet says she is skinny and her fur is not great ( I was feeding raw something happened and I had to feed her dog food and It seems not to agree with her) She wanted to do blood test but I asked if she seemed healthy otherwise and she said yes so I went with only the fecal and dewormer. She also recommended two vitamins and science diet , I nixed the science diet and went with the vitamins. I am going to change her diet and give her vitamins and hope for the best if it does not help I am going to do the rest of the tests the vet wanted to do.
Thank you guys for taking time to responding to my post
