about a month or two ago i was SCARED TO DEATH that my pup had A.D.D. and would never be usefull cause he chased his tail even after the point of running him ragged.
well with the best advice EVER listed on this forum we have gone a WHOLE week without even a glance at the tail!
Just wanted to tell everyone who gave me advice THANK YOU! he has a very busy schedual of OB and LOTS of exercize now and we wont be slacking off any time soon!
OCD is obsessive compulsive disorder. GSD are very prone to this,especially with under-exercise & lack of sufficient mental stimulation.
Glad that the tail chasing has improved for your dog. Do remember that if that same 'lacks' that started it go back into place..it WILL most likely start up again, as it is a very self rewarding behavior to the dog.
