Don't get me wrong. I loved/love all my dogs. But my last dog, Ranger, I couldn't trust in the house 5 MINUTES!! And this was until he was 2 and passed away. No matter how we 'Ranger-proofed' the house, he would find the ONE napkin we missed, or the shoe/sock/other piece of clothing, or the dish (empty or not) that we left too close to the edge of the kitchen counter, or the cat he HAD to chase until it knocked pictures off the wall, or the.... well, you get the idea. I couldn't even go move the sprinkler around in the yard or get the mail without being sure Ranger was either with ME or in the backyard. He was a trial!

Bogie, OTOH, is such a laid-back dog. He's only 6 months but I can leave him in the house several hours (today it was 3) and come back to...... nothing. No messes, no torn up/chewed up anythings. And he's not big enough to 'counter surf'. He just sleeps on the couch.

It's just--nice. To not have to worry or put up everything before I step out the door. Well, except shoes. Bogie's chewed up TWO pair of flip-flops so far so they get put away. And my Crocs have quite a few teeth marks in them. But there's no new teeth marks in the window sills/door jambs/walls. He's just a good dog. <Happy Sigh>
