Sweet dogs that wander too quickly become stolen or dead dogs sadly. When I am out in the back field with my dogs the neighbour across the roads little suicidal husky mix comes out when she hears us. For the most part she is pretty good with most of my dogs but if I have Karma my oldest TM out in the back the little husky will come darting out of the bush and full on attack her. This only happens with Karma.
Needless to say, one of these days her luck is going to run out either by crossing the road or picking a fight with another dog with no owner with it that can call their dog off.
I have spoken to my neighbours about her a hundred times since they moved here this past spring and they make it very clear that they refuse to confine their dogs and we have no animal control out this way either.
One morning I will wake up and find her dead on the road I just know it. All day long you hear cars flying over the hill here laying on their horn because she is sleeping on the road.
A mile from my house lives an English Setter. His house is across a well travelled road from a 15 acre wet land pond and swamp. He has no fence at his home, and his people are gone all day.
He can be seen on both sides of the road almost every day you go by. One day, his coat soaked in mud and matted, he was seen dragging a deer carcass home, a huge smile on his face. Some days he has had a bath, maybe even been to the groomer, then the next day he is a huge mess again.
We hope that this guy has an angel watching out for him! There is no animal control out here in the country.
the little pup that I see from time to time gets out of her collar. Obviously not tight enough but now I'm worried that the guy might of tightened it too much because she hasn't got out of that then jumped the fence. I'm worried that she will get collar rub and get a infection. I was shocked that the little pup jumped the fence. Yeah I know jack rus but still at 5 months old?!
So I'm thinking about calling animal control because they do leave her out all day while at work. She's under a VERY large shade tree and able to go all the way around it. The tree is in the middle of the large fenced in yard.
