Toni came with and swam for the first time in her life. The last two pics in the album are of her trying to figure it out. She wasn't liking it much, and would swim with her front end way up. By the end of the day she was much better and swimming like an otter.
This is also the first time Paul has ever done anything like this so he was throwing the toy kind of weird in the beginning. He got the hang of it and he and Tyra made a pretty good team.
Just a reminder that Tyra is the chocolate lab that my brother was going to shoot a year ago because his wife didn't like her anymore. She's a pretty good dog, and a heck of a dock jumper Paul's pretty happy that she came to live with us
Just goes to show you that someone's trash is another's treasure.
Thanks CJ! Considering that Tyra will be 8 years old in July, I think she jumped fantastic We estimated that she was jumping about 15 feet out from the dock.
Toni wasn't quite so thrilled with the whole water experience. I may need to get her a set of water wings
We estimated that she was jumping about 15 feet out from the dock.
That’s so cool!! What a girl.
Vince was a complete dufus to begin with, or maybe it was my lack of throwing skill. The initial ones were face first with his back legs getting banged on the dock. Then the most uncomfortable looking belly flops. But he kept at it and we got some pretty good form in the end.
It really is a lot of fun. I know how Paul feels. Those pictures are hard to get hey. Bob had quite a few where he got his front half or back half or missed the flying leap completely.
