hi guys my 11 month old gsd female pup doing some barking and tug and will love Critics and any suggestions will be valuable feel free to comment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4YcwTjucsc
Holding the tug with one hand - she has to turn her head every time. She can probably do leg bites by now Try to hold the tug with both hands or use a stiffer toy that doesn't flop. A bite pillow would be a better choice for a bark and hold exercise.
Help her to keep the rhythm by using body language and verbal cues.
It is better not to use Sit command immediately before the "bark and hold". Unless you are doing the capping exercise making the dog switch between being active (bark) to contained(sit).
Uma, dont out so soon. Let her have a small fight before you ask her to out. And once she outs, mark that and get her to tug again. That will teach her to out sooner. Also, You should put more life in the tug and have a good satisfying fight. Not sure if it was because you were shooting with one hand, but these are my friendly suggestions from the video.
Added later: Looked at your older video and you do tug with both hands and give her a good fight. So I take that back. Only suggestion would be to re engage after out. Give her a second , third , fourth tugging after each out. This will make the outs very quick
thanks ramu was filming with one hand do you get any training equipment in chennai cuz where i live i get nothing -_- the tug you see is actually a door mat -_- imagine how hard to train
