We are planning a major house renovation in the fall and I desperately wanted a fenced yard for the summer so we took a jump and had the rental construction fence installed yesterday. For the first time I am go outside and play with my dogs without worrying that Jethro is going to terrorize the neighbourhood (at least beyond the property lines.
I have to admit I am getting tired right now. My dear husband is away on tour and I am teaching every morning at 8 am. The more tired I get, the sharper I get, the sharper Jethro gets. I have to be the big one, and stop the sharpness from escalating. But I am tired!

Having a fence is awesome! Jethro is learning to respond to voice control to call himself off instead of relying solely on the leash. I've been gaining traction with this in in the house, he can be in full bark mode and come running to me in the kitchen when I call him. Now we are able to play this game outside within the safe containment of the fence.
Congrads Jenny! I've been using food with my pup for recall and he will do almost 300 yards. I'm sure more if I tried LOL.. It's a game. Dogs are so much fun!
