Marcelo Gonzalez Webboard User Reg: 01-20-2005 Posts: 35 Loc: Offline	I have a 5 Months GSD female, when I take her out to do her things, she will bark in a very agressive manner to some people not everybody,her back hair raises up and she will pull even with the prong collar,but if that person will get close an tries to pet her she will play with them.she looks scary but is all fake. Is this normal?

She's probably showing real aggression because she is apprehensive of the situation, or maybe now just going through a stage of being more protective of what she thinks is her teritory (you). Show as much leadership as you can and keep/get her socialized I would say the behavior is pretty common to young pups. Just my opinion, good luck! If death comes like a thief in the night, my dog and I wont be surprised.

Socialization could possibly help this, although it may have a genetic basis, depending on the dog itself.
