A couple new pics. Not great- used my phone, but it was a good moment to snap a couple when he attempted to crawl into my "just in case" rescue crate It was a big fail.
Glad to hear he's settling in. I just saw the post about him taking off... don't feel bad. The day I sprung my old dog Mokie from Death Row, she pooped in my back seat and bolted down the street when I opened the door to get her out. I chased her for about 4 blocks before she found a REALLY interesting smell and stopped to sniff. That dog was with me for 13 1/2 years, but the first day (ok, week) was pretty rocky!
I am also glad your husband has found a dog he really likes. I have discovered that Paul is much more tolerant of the things I want to do (spend tons of money on training and toys) now that he has his own dog (Tyra).
It's great to hear that Dieks is settling into his new home. It's amazing the difference a few weeks can make. It sounds like he really is a diamond in the rough who will shine brighter and brighter under your care (and your husband's, of course!). Dieks hit the jackpot when he got adopted by your family.
