if Bady is a US MWD, as i understand it, an adopter has to go to san antonio, fill out an application to adopt, etc. if he was owned by a contrctor, then i don't know--but the USAF has strict guidelines to adopt a retired MWD.
It is another happy ending for a rescue animal. Bady went to his forever home yesterday with Mike and Mary Kasales. Mike is a Brigade commander with the 4 Inf. Div. at Ft. Carson. Mike was the one that awarded the Combat Action Badge to Bady at the Veterans Rally a few weeks ago. Mary said his first night went great and he feel in love with their young female lab. Today Mike represented the U....S. Army at the 9-11 ceremony in CoSpg. He and Mary brought Bady along and when Mike was introduced Mary brought Bady to the podium where they told his story, to a rousing round of applause from the audience. Mike does these events for the Army regularly and plans on making Bady and his story part of his presentation.
Thanks for the link and the update Becky! I am so glad this wonderful dog found a loving home. Bady has been through so much, and now it is time to spend the rest of his life, with a good, loving home. Great news!
Becky, what fantastic news!! Thank you so much for the update.
What a perfect family for this dog to be adopted by and the fact that he's now got a job being an ambassador for Military Working Dogs is just incredible.
