And never going back! Such an improvement in my eleven month old's breath already. Her energy level and focus has also improved during our training sessions. I wasn't expecting to see any changes (however small they may be) this soon, which makes me even more certain that this was the right way to go. Thanks for all of the excellent advice on this forum, which I have been devouring. I'm thrilled to be joining the ranks as a raw feeder!

What RMBs did you start with? Chicken backs?
Congrats, BTW!
About focus: you are not imagining that. Not every dog has a big noticeable reaction to the high-glycemic crap in a lot of kibbles, but we read it often enough to realize that it's not at all uncommon (and I have seen it very noticeably in two of my adoptees as soon as they were switched).
Grain fractions and white potato (and on and on: crap in a bag) trigger a blood glucose response (sugar high, followed by sugar crash) like the one in kids on Halloween.
We started with chicken backs and added necks today. She loves it! I thought there might be some balking over the switch, but nope. I'm following the Raw Dog Food book and only feeding chicken this week.
I'd hoped I wasn't imagining the changes. I'm glad other people have seen similar results just a few days in. Love raw!
Just a funny story about raw feeding...my nephew, who is 24 and lives with us, just got a new girlfriend who has a little Pom. Upon shopping with her for dog food, he mentioned she was in the wrong section of the store and recommended she talk to me about *really feeding* her dog. Even he knows that raw is the only way to go!
