That would be great connie. I must have misunderstood the whole thing on marker training. I have watched a few videos and thought mark training was deciding one word for a certain action as well as a signal for each one with the voice command. And after learn and while teaching marking it with a word meaning great, yes you did it. Please fill me in and help with what ever you can pass on because I love learning and teaching each great thing that I learn from here. I incorporate everything I soak up.
It wasnt a matter of taking him out in time to use the bathroom. It was him running around the house wanting to play and at the same time something I've dealt with since he was adopted and that being him sort of scared of the leash like a dominant issue a previous owner had with him. He was running around the house wanting to play and before he tore the carpet up cutting corners and turning around I decided to take him out to let him burn some steam off but when taking him out and grabbing the leash to link it up he did the same thing he did the first week I got him and that was drop to the ground and pee with no sterness given only laughing and telling him you wanna go play. So it was not my fault to all of those who are throwing a drama fit over it with out having the full story.
Sounds like submissive peeing, i'll bet your body language communicated something different to the dog than you think.
I didn't have a "drama fit" over the "of course the nose in it", I just felt bad for the dog. Submissive urination is a drag and you have to be very careful to fix it.
