Sold one of Drago's sisters this weekend. Erin got a GREAT family. The coolest part was, she picked them! At least she picked their little girl (4 year old). Erin has met small kids before and she has always been polite - not jumping up or being rough, but not overly attracted to them either; just friendly/neutral. But THIS little girl she just ADORED from the git go! She immediately appointed herself babysitter, followed her all over the field, tried to herd her away from the goats and calves. When the little girl sat down, she lay down right next to her and when A. laid down nearly on top of her, she was just ate it up. Usually, when we sell an older pup, we have to pretty much make them get in the car/truck whenever they get ready to leave. This time, they fixed the girl up in her car seat and spread a blanket on the backseat beside her. Erin jumped into the car, ready to go! I love it when one of our pups goes somewhere that I know they are going to be happy and Erin has obviously found her little soul mate!
It's always great to be reminded that there are still wonderful breeders out there (and we have several on this very forum) who care deeply about the lives of the puppies they bring into the world. Glad to hear you found the perfect home for Erin.
BTW, I'm head over heels in love with your Farrah!
That has to be so cool being part of building a relationship like that between that little girl and her new puppy. Hope they have a great time growing up together.
They were just adorable together, I'll have to get some pics next time they come up for training. A. would throw the stick (she could only throw it about 4 feet) and Erin would pounce it and bring it back to her and play tug with her. Then Erin would race away in a big circle playing keepaway, with A. running after her shrieking like a banshee (which would freak most dogs out, but Erin just took it in stride). After a couple of circles, Erin would bring the stick back to her and drop it for her to throw and they'd do it all over again. A. was just cracking me up with her "training". She heard Steve praising Erin and so she picked up on "gooood guuurl". Just the way she said it made me laugh every time.
