As Harley is getting calmer, I have also notice that he is getting unsure of older folks and mostly those suffering from alzheimer.
My father being one and one of my client brought her father over last night. Fairly advance alzheimer and Harley just barked at him like mad.
It is not the first time he does it. Can there be some issue there, can he sense something.
He bark and want to get a way from them. When he gard the house he will bark and go in front of the intruder person at the door). With the older person he barks but want to come near me he even growl and bark.
With my dad it is easy my mom call me most of the time before he comes in the barn so I can put Harley on leash and feed him treat and it work. Some days my dad escape (mom in the shower) and come in the barn un annonce and the bark fest starts. I can stop it but dad forgets want he has been told and he want to play with Dexter and can't figure out why Harley has a fit.

I suggest keeping the dog away from people you aren't sure about, for now. I know that might be what you're trying to do already, but it will at least keep everyone safe and happy until you can get better help.
