wonder if this is as straight foward as it sounds, I haven't called for exact details, don't know why I was even looking, but if it was as easy as a diet change and excorise I'd love to foster the little guy (with a bunch of advice from fellow dog lovers)
I think this breed gets myasthenia gravis, you might be in for a heartbreaker. I'm not sure this can be fixed with love and good food.
Google it, do some searching before you jump in.
I have taken dogs surrendered with chronic conditions because I knew I could care for them and I expected that quality of life could be maintained. But not going into it blind.
the person has not got back to me yet...
I did read up on MG. and watched some videos of puppys with it. what a horrid condition.(Dr. Betty knows her stuff, it appears to be that)
I know the road to hell is paved with good intentions, I just can't make that type of monetary comitment if MG is the problem
Thank you Betty,Betty and Connie for posting on this, I still want to find out about the little guy
ignorance is bliss.... the owner called me back, last vet visit was in sept, I got vet # and called, they need owner to give a release...well he is "not able to go to clinic to sign a release of info form today" I asked if he could next week, and he started in with the excuses as to why he can't make it.
the owner really didn't like the questions, and I got the impression he just wants to unload the poor little guy
He did describe how on hard wood floor the pup dosent get up, and out side gets 20 feet or so before stoping to rest.(which the videos of MG dogs look like.
finished up with he just needs better food that he (owner) cannot aford
