I am wondering if anyone has experience with either of these two for training? I live in Florida and am about an hour and a half from a Sit Means Sit trainer. I like their videos on youtube but am not too sure about their methods. I was thinking of driving over to do a lesson just so I could maybe get better using an ecollar?
Next month there is a Balabanov seminar at his place which is probably 4 hours or so away. I am considering going to that but it's for IPO/Ring. I don't know what either of those are?? He said I should register as a spectator but could bring my dog? His email responses were pretty short and vague. I think it's a 2 or 3 day deal.
I would really love to work with a Michael Ellis trained trainer but couldn't find one here and didn't get a response from email when I asked if there were any in Florida.
I think I will skip the SMS and try to go to Ivan's seminar. I would appreciate any thoughts or feedback. Thanks!!
Even if you have no intention in competing in IPO/ring sport, Balabanov would have much to share. I would consider it $$ well spent. He will still go over regular OB like heeling, recalls, down stays etc throught out the seminar. He is a great trainer.
I think that you $$s would be better spent elsewhere then SMS. Definately NOT a fan. If you do a search here, you will find some threads regarding (deleted) & his 'training' methods. They are NOT favorable.
Where are you in Florida? Maybe someone here can help you or recommend a trainer in your area. I know someone just above the Port St. Lucie area that I would refer to.
