The puppy has been on canine cavier puppy food. Since it is hard to find in our area we would like to switch to blue buffalo. We have about a week-week and a half of food left from foster mom. Can we mix in the blue buffalo in right away or wait awhile to introduce new food?
This is the pup that was sick, right? If things look good now(health wise/poop wise), I'd stick with her current food for while she settles into her new home. Get a small bag of her current food and wen that runs out make the gradual switch. Right now you don't want to further stress her with a food change and trigger a relapse.
