I saw him last in person in April and knew well that I probably wouldn't see him again. He could still stand up and walk unaided back then, but it was getting to be an effort. I know it was the right choice to make. He was such a patient and kind soul. My parents are understandably sad, but I think they are relieved a bit too, to know they did the best they could for him.
I will try to get some pictures up. I have a couple of decent ones, but they are hard copies and a scanner is only on my wish list at the moment.
Got some pics of happy times. I believe they were taken when he was about 5. You can kinda see his scar in the first one right above his left eye. It never faded much.
