Ryuk first, then Gambit (working on "sit pretty"), then both of them, then the execution of a toy that Gambit ripped a whole in earlier (and Ryuk using is paws because the first part of the battle I didn't get on camera he tried it, got Gambit in the eyes and he ended up winning...so he's cheating the second time around XD)....

Prance takes a few steps.
1) Teach the raising of each paw (I used "paw" and "shake") and make sure the dog can do it standing up. Build up the muscle memory.
2) Teach "march" where they carefully step forward one step at a time exaggerating the right and left front step. Once again, you'll have to build a lot of muscle memory so they can do it without thinking.
3) Get them in drive and encourage them to offer the marching behavior. at first you normally have to let them move forward very quickly and it favors one side or the other. Having them prance over poles helps balance them out a bit and they you slowly slow them down and encourage the "bouncing" motion. As they get stronger you can almost get them to do it in place with super exaggerated action. Unfortunately if you stop doing it for a while you have to build them up again
