I sent an email to the Michael Ellis school to see if they had any trainers in Florida and they told me to see Ivan. Of course I had seen him on YouTube but didn't realize he was in Florida. He's about 3 hours away. Needless to say it was amazing. It pretty much confirmed what I knew, that I'm doing a terrible job of motivating my dog. We mostly worked on how to deliver treats, play tug, and play fetch. All of which I was way off on. Watching videos is much different than having someone watch you and tell you your mistakes. Watching him play with my dog was incredible! He kept saying "there's a lot of dog in there" and that he had good drive. I always thought his drive was low, turns out I'm just a crappy motivator!! I've got a lot to work on, but am planning on training with him monthly. I think my dog has a lot more potential than I realize, and hopefully I do to. I hope next time I get to meet his dogs and watch them work together.
Thanks Connie, it was really neat. Very eye opening and inspiring. People like him and Michael Ellis make it look so easy. Sometimes I feel like my dog will never be that well trained, but I just need to keep working hard

I've got a lot to work on, but am planning on training with him monthly. I think my dog has a lot more potential than I realize, and hopefully I do to. I hope next time I get to meet his dogs and watch them work together.
