I bought some for my malamute for on-leash walks because he is really sensitive to de-icers/salts in the winter. They stayed on well for walking but I went to a store that helped me fit them and try between different brands. Also, I watched the video about how to measure your dogs foot for buying boots and my results were WAY off so I would for sure make sure you try them on before you buy them or else check the return policy. That said some dogs just have feet shapes that have a hard time holding boots - you could try the socks/liners if your dog had that problem but some dogs just always seem to lose 'em.
I would recommend buying red or bright ones in case they do come off.
