Nancy Jocoy Webboard User Reg: 05-03-2003 Posts: 924 Loc: Offline	Can anyone compare and contrast Dogtra 1200 Tri Tronics Sport 50 or 60 Tri Tronics 100 In terms of (1) strongest setting (2) range of settings (3) overall quality. I want the 100 but an extra $200 wow! Is it worth the extra money for stated goals: 6 month old puppy --- Max setting on DTS owned by friend no impact*. Goal is for crittering and recall work for offlead SAR. Currently working with pinch on long line. pup NOT allowed offlead but preparing for that time. *but was used during, not just before, the chase -but no response at all...no response to charged cattle fence which she hit, either. Her one and only time off lead in farmyard until resolution obtained.

Nancy Jocoy Webboard User Reg: 05-03-2003 Posts: 924 Loc: Offline	I should also clarify any e-collar work I do will be under the guidance of skilled people and with much research as I have no intention of frying my puppy --- Her training right now (with the exception of pinch for chasing cats and not coming) is strictly motivational. My concerns with the dogtra are overall quality and the variable knob... Have seen some older posts and wonder how they are standing the test of time.
