Is there any benefit to feeding canned tripe? I bought a can at the pet food store recently out of curiosity -- the label claims it provides Omega 3 and 6 Fatty Acids. Lenney was ready to do back flips for a taste as soon as she smelled it, but I'm wondering if it's just wasted money -- I know it's supposed to be a great supplement when fed raw, but wouldn't the canning process destroy a lot of the valuable nutrients?

If nothing else, you've found something he'll do a back flip for. That's a real find. Use it for really high-value treats!
I've bought the canned Tripett in the past. I think it's a good product. In my book, good nutrition is all about variety, variety, variety. I'm constantly trying to find ways to give my dogs variety in their diets--with different proteins, veggies, small doses of carbs. If this is another way to give your dog variety, I'm all for it.
