The flea and tick control products?
Little bitty puppies I prefer to bathe and not use a systemic.
For non-sensitive breeds 3 mos is safe, being sure not to overdose. For example if the tube is labeled for "dogs less than 25 lbs" I'd apply 1/2 or 1/4 of the dose depending on the size of the pup.
From my research (I'm about to start Sadie on Iverhart, per my vet's recommendation), Iverhart should not be used on puppies under 8 weeks. Ivomec (Ivermectin for livestock; diluted for dogs) states six weeks. I'm guessing Iverhart is sweetening their minimum age to limit risk of liability for younger pups.
I have a bottle of liquid ivermectin from Mexico that I'v given to Keiko and Zuki for heart-worms. Just wondering when it is safe to give it to a puppy for starting.
Also I give it to them about every mouth, is it necessary to give it that often for prevention?
