I haven't bought a new TV since the advent of the flat-screen era. I plan to shop for one this weekend. I was wondering what your preference is.
Is there one that you would avoid?
What would you consider to be the biggest advantage or disadvantage of a particular technology?
Also, I love PIP, being a huge football fan. I haven't noticed that feature on ones that I've seen in the past ten years. Can anyone recommend a brand or model that has PIP?
I'll never buy another Samsung. I bought a 52" around 4-5 years ago. Paid over $3,000. Then had to pay $289 18 months later to get it fixed. Technician said he'd been repairing dozens of them because Samsung had put in capacitors that were not sufficient. He put in bigger capacitors. No more problems.
I have the 47" VIZIO RAZOR LED LCD HDTV with Internet apps, it has pip but I haven't set it up yet.
I bought it at Costco, they matched the manufacturers warranty bringing it to 2 yrs and then I got the Costco 3 year extended for $60, if anything happens to the tv in 5 years they will come out and fix it free and if they can't I get a full refund.
Only complaint is 47" is to small I should have got the 65"
2 out of our 3 are Visio- we love them compared to the Samsung and LG models we have(or had) The volume is really clear and goes very loud when needed and the picture quality is great.
