Those of you who have used either or both...can you give me your opinion on either...pros, cons...etc...I'm looking at the Dogtra YS 500 or the TT Limiter. I'm seeing stuff like the bark 'odometer' and button level settings vs dial settings...ease of use? reliability? consistency? 5 levels vs 7??
But my main concern is that this thing is not going to go off at the slightest 'bump' or when my dog drinks or eats, or lies down!
I have a collar at this point that was an 'emerg buy' once my TT died (at 12 yrs of age lol) and the present collar will activate (go off) at the slightest bump, vibration (ie., dog scratching, drinking, rubbing it on the fence etc...) I find it's absolutely useless and refuse to use it as I feel it can create bigger problems than it's supposed to eliminate...I've used it once and basically pitched it....
Now I definitely admire and have had TT ecollars before and last year bought my first Dogtra 1200NC for training and absolutely LOVE it. I'm just undecided on the bark collar thing.
So any advice, experiences, comparisons, opinions, why you like it or why you don't etc... would be greatly appreciated.

Lou...if you're out there; any advice would be greatfully received! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I have a Tri-tronics bark collar I bought from Leerburg . It helped solve my dogs barking problem but the only thing I didn't like about it was it would go off when my dog yawned. Big dog loud yawn. Otherwise that was it for innappropriate corrections. I no longer have to use it.
I'm right here Brigita. The TriTronics brand has some cute features, such as the bark counter that I don't think anyone needs. It has batteries that the user replaces when they go dead (not rechargeable) at over $5 per battery, five levels of stim and it retails for about $110. The Dogtra doesn't have those cute features, has rechargeable batteries, seven levels of stim, comes in two sizes for various sizes of dogs and retails for $80.
Lou Castle has been kicked off this board. He is an OLD SCHOOL DOG TRAINER with little to offer.
