I tried to search these "King Shepherds" on the forums but got every post that had the word worKING in my results That is a ton of posts on this site!
Anyways, what are they? Overgrown, long-haired GSD's someone has decided to market or a breed of their own? The reason I am asking is because I saw a GSD girl listed as this at a near-by humane society. She was not large or long-haired and was listed as having what I would consider very weak nerves. Just curious and bored so I thought I'd pick your brains!
LOL Amy, I saw that dog listed too. That shelter is incredibly bad at identifying breeds, and I've even seen them make some up like the "American Blue Heeler".
Yes, this King Shepherd is some perverted version of the German Shepherd .
They also have a perverted version of the doberman called Warlock.
And the breeders keep saying that this "race" of dobes have been kept a secret by Eastern europeans and some how the breeder has managed to tease the secret out of the Eastern europeans for the benefit of the society.
I have a very visceral reaction when people talk about pigments, height, weight, head size and all that.
To me a dog that works with it's human is the perfect specimen even if it has only 3 legs.
As a heavy fat man I know that being big is a liability. I have a natural aversion to heavy dogs.

I often find myself shaking my head at the breeds they list. The "American Blue Nose Pits" and the mixes that are listed as extremely rare breeds (that they barely resemble) make me laugh sometimes. Honestly, that girl looks and sounds very similar to about 10 farm dogs I have met- all coming from the same area; very "well priced" very indiscriminately bred. A few biters, lots of bark-and-runners.
