Please help! For the sake of time here is the down and dirty. I am 4 puppies that are approx 72hrs old. Mom did not take care of them so I have been hand feeding the puppies using a syringe. They are cocker mixed pups and have been doing very well. Tonight after feeding I was inducing the bathroom process when the largest, most active pup urinated and it had blood in it. She is still active but I am very worried. Any inputs would be great. Thanks.
Is the dam sick? Was the litter "on time?"
Are you certain this is blood? Sometimes the urine will have a color to it which appears with exposure to light, much like tear staining around eyes, or the stain a dog will get on her paws if she licks her feet.
