I'm shopping for a no bark collar and am leaning towards the Einstein collar that Leerburg sells. I've also been training with a Dogtra e-collar for a different dog. I'm curious if anyone has ever seen a combo collar that would allow it to function as a no bark collar and also as a remote training collar. I'd really like it if I could buy one product and use it as a no bark collar now and also progress to using it as a remote training collar. It seems like many of the components in the collar/receiver would be similar between the two products.
Also, I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on the Einstein collar, or their product lines in general vs Dogtra, Tritronics, etc.
I just bought a Einstein 2 dog e-collar system, and I have to say it works great. I've used dogtra systems in the past, but prefer the Einstein. I like the way Einstein is set up, and the extra functionality of it. Now, if they would switch from Ni-Cad batteries to Lithium-Ion, I'd be more happy!
Not up on my Leerburg reading and this is the first I've heard of this collar.
Just watched a few videos and oh my, I know what's on my wish list.
But I have two (well three) perfectly good e-collars, but, but, but...oh my, decisions, decisions.
Ben, have you had an opportunity to use the built in flashlight feature? Just wondering how bright it is.
And don't know anything about batteries but do you think it would be possible to use the flashlight feature for a walk that was say two to three hours?
Bryan, I've never personally used a bark collar (although I'm sure my husband would prefer I did wear one), but seriously, this one looks more intuitive than anything I’ve ever seen.
The various settings, the alert, the progressive increased stim based "your" dog's barking habits.
Looks like a good product.
If I ever do a find a need for one or get asked for a recommendation, this is certainly the one I'll be directing people towards.
I just got the einstein 400 and I really like it. It has some cool little functions that my dogtra and tritronics didnt have.
I noticed that in the Michael Ellis' Remote Collar DVD, he mentions that he uses two receivers, maybe if you put the receiver for a bark collar on the same collar as the e-collar....though there might be some issues with keeping it over the throat so it could sense vibrations....
