Vets get something free (a whole meal in some; check the listings) at the establishments in these lists .... good to know now and to be prepared with I.D. or proof of service (check the listings for what is needed at each). Also, call ahead and check in case it's a "participating establishments only" thing.
Seeing that Applebee's, for example, served over a million free meals last Veteran's Day, sure enhances Applebee's in my eyes. And there are lots more.
If you know of more, even regional or local, it's nice to spread the word.
