Kaiser had a few lumps we were concerned about in the summer, but the one on his ear shrunk to nothing but a sort of freckle, and the pendulous grey coloured one on his belly while still prominent, hasn't got any bigger.
What we have noticed in about the last month, is he is getting more and more of these flat moles, mostly on his under carriage, on his rinky, around his hoop, and tonight I have noticed some in his ears.
I am not massively worried, because he is eating/peeing/pooing fine, but just wondered if this increase in pigmentation is normal?
He will be four next May, and I always thought this was something you usually see in an older dog??

What are hoop and rinky? I can guess but not sure.
Are you keeping dated notes or photos of changes in size?
I know, I am a 49 year old woman of three adult children but I still struggle to use the proper words His penis and anus!
Because I have been puzzled by the lumps, especially the one on the inside tip of his ear getting huge, cracked and weepy, then reabsorbing to a flat mole, I tend to check him over every other day, and it seems these moles almost appear overnight.
These moles are dark, flat and irregular in shape, and different in sizes, ranging from small flecks to pea sized, although not a round pea shape.
Are they lumps or just darkening of the skin? Has your vet biopsied any of the lumps?
I'd be worried about anything irregular in shape. We have one dog where almost everything that pops up is cancerous or pre-cancerous and another where they are all cysts.
He had some lumps appear over the summer that the vet thought were cysts, and as you say, they come and go, excepting the one on his belly, which is soft and pendulous, they have dissapeared, but the flat moles are increasing.
The vet wasn't concerned about any, but the one on his ear, which has gone completely, again, leaving a small flat mole.
In the last few days, the other Boerboel, Sugar, is giving us real cause for concern, but I think I should start another thread for that, these dogs are giving us some sleepless nights at the moment
