Today I took Bindi to rally training. She always does very well, me however I need to work on my own skills well. bindi still needs to work on her front position, so we will be working on perfecting it this week. I will also continue to work on my foot work and being deliberate in my steps and counting my steps correctly when moving front/forward or front/backward.
Working on Terra and Cody social skills, and also on Terra's barking, it is getting worse. She has decided (since I am sick) she needs to have me pay attention to her by barking. SO now I correct her and then when she barks at me, I ignore her and walk out of the room. She doesn't follow me because she is on her mat. I think things will be better when they get more exercise. Tomorrow I hope to feel well enough to wear them out. Ha!
How is everyone else doing with your training? love sharon

We've been working on Sasha's new issue in furnace room (see "scared my dog" thread) and also working on sharpening up our Rally moves because we have a competition this Saturday.
Our left pivot is much better about 3/4 of the time. The other 1/4 of the time she doesn't see the point in getting her big butt up to move over a few inches just to put it back down again. She'd rather just lean and shuffle/wiggle over. Sigh! We'll keep working on it (and hope the 3/4 time is on competition day).
Been doing some nice walks at the Conservation area and working on her recall which right now I'm very pleased with. A toasted multi-grain bagel with cream cheese works wonders. Luckily I don't mind sharing.

we are starting the 2x2 weave class on friday. I bumped my elbow steel plate and now it is swollen, sore so I needed meds.
I can just bearly drag myself to ride and teach. I do minimum work with Harley, lot of it being off leash nose work. Any touch or tug to my arm is unwelcome.
Dexter is not doing much the BF is taking some time to play with him.

Last night was working on heeling and sit/down in motion with raw beef cubes as treats. Trainer's quite pleased with his heeling at this point, though he gnaws on my hand target while heeling (lol) during his most effective moments! Having issues with morning walks due to pregnancy issues (me, not him) but he's still staying clear headed and his energy levels are good (50% controlled) in the house.

The weather has been stifling us. We've been shut in half of the days due to rain. Between the rain and the holidays, we've also missed four consecutive weeks of club training. I've been trying to keep up with Sadie by working some basic things inside, but she is dying for more. I think she might burst.
Yesterday she needed a bath, so we worked on trying to lure her into her tub. Still no success. Poor thing is whining and staring longingly at the treat, but her involuntary responses dictate that she stay under the truck (or bench, or whatever a 55# GSD can crawl under).
I've been trying to desensitize her to the tub for two years now, and have made zero progress. Eventually, if I'm insistent enough and hide the hose, I can lure her into a dry tub, but she is so scared that she shakes the whole time.
She almost seems to prefer it when I pick her up, put her in the tub, and just get the whole mess over with as quickly as possible.
She loves everything about drying off (as long as there's no blower), and she expects a treat when finished, regardless of how much a PITA she's been.

today was the first 2x2 weave class. It was fun and it showed that we had a bit of practice.
The weather here been a real roll coaster from deep freeze to above freezeing.
Yesterday Harley fell in a unfrozen ditch that was well covered with snow. He is just fine.
So we have been doing a lot of nosework and playing with some new tricks.
Dexter is getting some what happy to play after a solid week of being cooped up.

Some hard nosework hides. One was under a very smelly trash cane and I mean smack in the middle under. He nearly pshed the cane over to get his nose as close as possible.
Still working on the 2x2 and getting better.
I got to the agility center for some practice this morning worked on our crosses.
The weather still suck here. Today rain, tomorrow it will be back well under freezing. Some my trails are not usable at all and will be some bad skateing ring soon.
I guess I will have to find some time for more agility center time. and lots of fetch in the indoor.

Today Bindi went to pet dog training, she is almost done with that school. We worked on sit/down stays. Recall, nose work. Me stepping over her when she is lying down. She does not like this. Have to work on it with her.
Friday we got out and walked and went to petsmart, but I didn't feel well enough on saturday to do anything. Feeling better today, plan on working with them monday.
Bindi and I tomorrow will go to rally school and work on a course. I practiced the rally cards today and tonight. Tomorrow walking terra, cody, bindi and working on heel and basic obedience skills.
But today, only took Bindi to training.
Soon Terra will be going to school, interested to see where she blooms.

Gosh, Sharon... I sure hope you get better soon. It sure has been long enough.
We are still dealing with rain. Sadie's been inside since last year, and it looks like we have at least three more days to go.
Went for a walk and played tug in a drizzle this evening. Also worked on some long downs and off-leash directions. When we got back inside we did a brush-up routine with some fronts and au pieds. We broke out the touch pads for the first time in a while and worked on going from one to the other and some pivots. I then used the touch pads to work on sit/down/stands.
Stand came along late in the game, so it's not rock-solid. I've just about got her changing position in place from up to 10 feet, except for a step or two toward me when she stands. The little bit of work we did on the touch pad seemed to reinforce to her that she needs to stand in place.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. We do some positions inside with no distraction, both off-lead and tied to a table (or with a barrier in front of her), and we do some tied and off-lead in the yard.
