I'll have to check. Mom tried each of the diets that were talked about here. Dog aware and Lew's. I asked her to stick with Lew's but I'm not positive exactly what she ended up with.
Laverne is in surgery today so I'll be back but it might take a couple days. J

I know, it must be terrible.
I don;'t know how to answer what you asked because I don't know what he's actually eating. We'll just have to wait.
I do know that it remains crucial that he be hydrated all the time.
Ok, mom is feeding Lew's diet. Hamburger based at first, then chicken based. He is still having times of refusing to eat it. But once he starts, he eats it all. She hand fed him some even though I cautioned her about it, and now she has to coax him to eat, then he does.
The surgery went well , but there are spots on his liver that we are waiting for biopsy results from. He seems to be doing well since Friday. J

If she is following Lew's low-oxalate diet, then the dog is getting the crucial nutrients. She needs to be vigilant about plenty of water and plenty of pee opportunities. Keeping him "flushing" through his UT is really important.
She put water around the house. He goes out often, and she leaves him for shorter periods and takes him along to work some too. She also makes him go out before bed which he didn't 't do before. He wouldn't want out from like 7:30 in the wvening until about then the next morning. That doesn't happen anymore.
