Connie, I have used the spray and it is the one that has bittrex (spelling) the gel does not. It does work for healing wounds and keeps them from licking the wound.
You can usually get it at Tractor Supply in the horse section. The TSC's I've checked normally only have the gel. I think they sell it to treat saddle sores. So, tack shops may well carry it too.
I have used both over the years and love the stuff. I have one tube of gel and one little pump spray bottle in my GSD's first aid kit that lives in his training gear bag.
