It's going ok, but no real difference yet from him. I just look for the quiet time so I can reward that. Which is good because he also whines for a reason, like to go out. So I can't ignore that indefinitely. I have to watch for the opportunity where I can actually let him out.
On the same note, he has learned to come to the picture wondow and bark when he wants in, which was great because then I knew he wanted in. Especially if he wanted out in the rain, when he wanted in, he would sit at the door getting soaked. Now he would bark at the window and in he would come. For awhile...
He has decided how fun it would be to run in and out int he morning. SO what we have at the moment if we would play along is....Whine to go out, wait 5 minutes bark to come back in, check out what's up inside then whine to go out, wait 5 minutes and bark to get back in.
SO now we have to cut out the barking to get back in which is actually a bummer. I liked that he would let me know. That being said, if I go out and say let's go in, he has to come, he does not get to do the choosing on a regular basis. SO now we have a very loud dog barking at the picture window in the morning and being ignored. Or a very whiney one inside trying to get out. Life is good. ;-)
